They're playing Christmas music...

Yippeee!!!! They are playing Christmas music on XM now. The "Holly" station is up and running. If you have Direct TV and you get the music stations, it's channel 822. Anyway, Christmas music always helps put me in the mood to decorate, wrap gifts, clean the house, etc. (Something else I noticed was that XM has removed "Oprah and Friends" from their line up. Didn't see it anywhere on the channels that are available on TV. Good for them!)

I think I may get one of the smaller trees from the attic and put it up and decorate it. Notice I said "one." Yep, I put up more than one. I just love Christmas. But for so many years, I've been stretched from "can to can't" and haven't put all of the trees up. Maybe I can this year. Merry Christmas everybody!!!

The Merry-Go-Round...

Well, it has begun. Already! The "busyness" of the fall and upcoming holiday season has started.
We (the hand bell choir at church) rang at the cute little shopping center The Depot for the annual city-wide Christmas open house. I'm guessing it helped put everyone who strolled by into the holiday spirit. Haven't really thought about how many days 'til Christmas. Not many, though.
Already, there are so many things on my calendar. Like I said, the merry-go-round has started.
I'm to the point that I must write everything down on a calendar or I'll forget.
But I don't want to get so busy that I forget to stop and think about all that I have been blessed with and all that I have to be thankful for. I have "need" for nothing. The Lord has been so good to me and my family. I hope that I have the opportunity to share my blessings. I'm sure I will. And then...I'll be blessed again. Ain't God good! Yes, He is...All the time...No matter what!

Well....

Well...what can I say. I'm not sure what the future holds for our nation. It will be interesting to see
in the months to come. I am very sad.

Trust...pray...wait

Well, here we are on the eve of Election Day in the USA. Needless-to-say, it was on many minds and hearts yesterday at church. So many expressed concern about the direction our country is headed. And as Children of the King, we are to lay our concerns and worries at His feet. To trust Him and trust that He is in control. Unfortunately, we are human and our human nature is to worry and to hold out and not let it go and let God. I hope that many, many (a record number) will make their way to the polls tomorrow. But before we step into that room to cast our vote, we should pray for our country, pray for our leaders, and pray for ourselves as we cast that vote.
I can't help but think that our country has forgotten just exactly why and how it was founded.

II Chronicles 7:14
"and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
